Combe U-Turns with Ma5da

A statement from the Castle Combe Racing Club website says it has ceased negotiations with Ma5da Racing over the staging of its championships.

Ma5da Racing needs a club to apply to the MSA (Motor Sports Association) for the permits necessary to run the championships in 2013 and beyond ………

 The statement reads as follows:

“On Wednesday 17th October 2012, the Board of Castle Combe Racing Club Ltd unanimously agreed to cease contractual negotiations with Ma5da Racing regarding being the permit holding Club for Ma5da Racing in 2013.

The Racing Club’s Chairman Adrian Fawdington confirmed this decision was that of Castle Combe Racing Club Ltd and advised Ma5da Racing appropriately. To this date no contracts have been entered into by either party and to help Ma5da Racing secure it’s 2013 Championships the Board of Castle Combe Racing Club Ltd chose this course of action sooner rather than later.

Castle Combe Racing Club Ltd wish Ma5da Racing and all it’s loyal competitors every future success for 2013 & beyond.”

Ma5da Racing has yet to respond to this latest development, but as one of the largest Motor Racing championships is unlikely to be in any danger. One possible action might be for Ma5da to set up it’s own Racing club after the difficulties it has faced this year.
