|Hi, and thanks for deciding to read this- you obviously have good taste. From now on, i’m going to be writing regular features on here, but first, a bit about me, I’m Nick Atkinson, and I’m a 19 year old, second year motorsport engineering student at the University of Hertfordshire.
I was lucky enough to be bitten by the racing bug early on racing karts from the age of 13. Like most people though, I realised I was never going to be the next big thing, but luckily, I got hooked on the technical side of racing, and now my ultimate aim to climb the engineering ladder, and go on to win Formula One world championships.
|It’s not Monaco, but at the minute I’m a kart mechanic for hire, however I have had my first taste of F1, when I was invited to the Red Bull Racing factory as part of the Red Bull Racingsummer internship, something which I’ll do a feature on soon.
I will be posting regularly about a wide variety of things, such as blog style entries from any events I participate in, technical analysis of past and present designs, and following the struggle of young engineers such as myself, who are trying to achieve their dreams.
An idea of what’s on its way though:
For now though, I’d like to thank you very much for reading, and hope you keep coming back!
