Hi, and thanks for deciding to read this- you obviously have good taste. From now on, i’m going to be writing regular features on here, but first, a bit about me, I’m Nick Atkinson, and I’m a 19 year old, second year motorsport engineering student at the University of Hertfordshire.
I was lucky enough to be bitten by the racing bug early on racing karts from the age of 13. Like most people though, I realised I was never going to be the next big thing, but luckily, I got hooked on the technical side of racing, and now my ultimate aim to climb the engineering ladder, and go on to win Formula One world championships. |
| It’s not Monaco, but at the minute I’m a kart mechanic for hire, however I have had my first taste of F1, when I was invited to the Red Bull Racing factory as part of the Red Bull Racingsummer internship, something which I’ll do a feature on soon.
I will be posting regularly about a wide variety of things, such as blog style entries from any events I participate in, technical analysis of past and present designs, and following the struggle of young engineers such as myself, who are trying to achieve their dreams.
